Who We Are
Ziingo was a community based organization which started in 2020 helping a small number of people. Due to an increasing need is services in the community, we transformed it into a non profit organization.
At ZIINGO, we empower women living in rural areas to increase their household income through self-sustainability programs like micro revolving loans at a very low interest rate of 2.5%, food security through providing farm supplements, seeds, pesticides, protective gears like gumboots, gloves etc.
We also advocate for women and children’s rights to fight domestic violence which is common in our African rural setting. The domestic violence is commonly due to poverty.
We help children and women living with HIV in rural areas to access treatment/ARVs.
We train and educate children through health clubs to improve on sanitation and hygiene, providing sanitary pads to school children hence reducing high levels of school dropouts.
Construction of pit Latrines in schools and in the under privileged communities while considering People Living With Disabilities (PWDS). Provision of water and harvesting tanks in schools.
Ziingo also improves on the Rural livelihoods through providing solar lighting.
